付け入るすきが、全く見あたらなかった。最後は館山に締めくくられたが、ヤクルトの先発グライシンガーに８回４安打無得点。原監督も「結果は…。０点じゃ、どうしようもない。打線が力を発揮できなかったということ。１人１人が力を発揮できなかった」と言葉通りの完敗宣言をするしかなかった。
