連勝はいつかは止まるもの。しかし、巨人の６連勝は豪快な大敗でストップした。投手陣が２２安打を浴び１５失点。今季最多被安打最多失点で、打線が奪った得点はわずか２点。今季最大得点差での黒星だった。原監督は「これだけ負けて１つの負けしかつかないんだから、感謝しないといけない」と表情を引き締めて語るしかなかった。
