見るも無残なスコアボードだった。１７被安打が今季ワーストなら、１４失点も今季ワースト。クラブハウスに引き揚げる巨人原監督は「今日はなかなかゲームがつくれなかった」と、ぽつりと漏らした。味方打線が７得点しながら、主導権を握られ続けたという厳しい現実。今季初の３連敗という屈辱を受け入れるしかなかった。
