阪神矢野の今季初本塁打が決勝弾だった。同点に追いつかれた直後の６回表。１７年目のベテランならではの勝負強さだった。「追いつかれて嫌な感じがあったし、いいところで打てた」と振り返る。５月下旬には右ふくらはぎ痛で２軍降格。狩野の台頭もあり、ベンチスタートも少なくなかった。昨季はナゴヤドームで１勝１０敗と大きく負け越したが、同ドームで今季初の勝ち越しとなった。
