１日遅れのバースデー祝砲とはいかなかった。楽天山崎武が、本塁打キングを独走する２８号アーチを放ったが、チームはサヨナラ負けで２連敗を喫した。２８本塁打は昨季のフェルナンデスに並ぶ球団記録タイ。しかし、山崎武は「記録は別にしてね…」と笑顔は少なかった。
