横浜が交流戦王者の日本ハムを倒し、今季初の６連勝で交流戦最終戦を飾った。２－２で迎えた８回。２死三塁となり、打席には、今一番当たっている金城が立った。だが、本人は冷静だった。「（江尻は）フォークがいいから、タイミングが合わないと打てない。初球はタイミングを見る」。その通り、初球を見逃した後の２球目。１４７キロ直球に「体が勝手に反応した」。右前にはじき返した。前日まで２戦連続先制点をマークして勢いに乗る男が、今度は決勝点を挙げた。
