美しい放物線が、石川県立野球場の右翼場外に消えた。７回裏１死１塁で飛び出した中日福留の６試合ぶり１２号ダメ押し２ラン。「井端さんがヒットを打って、チャンスを作っているのに、ボクは打てていなかった。何とか打ててよかった」と話した。もう１人の殊勲は立浪。２－２の同点で迎えた６回１死二塁で、代打として登場。オリックス先発・デイビーの２球目を中前に勝ち越し打。「準備だけは怠らないように、いつも早めに準備していますから」。
