ロッテ渡辺俊が５月負けなしの４連勝で、早くも昨季に並ぶ５勝目を挙げた。サブマリン対策で左打者を５人並べた横浜打線も苦にしなかった。右打者の胸元に食い込むシンカーを効果的に使い、外角への直球、カーブでリズミカルに打たせて取った。５回１死まで“完全”ペース。結局、８回５安打２失点で降板したが、存在感は十分に見せつけた。
