大荒れ投球でもしっかり勝ちました。ソフトバンク新垣渚投手（２７）が２５日の広島１回戦（福岡ヤフードーム）で２暴投を記録。早くも今季１５個目でシーズン記録で野茂に並び４位タイとなった。あと２個でリーグ記録に並び、日本記録（２０＝石井一）に迫る勢いだ。それでも７回３失点で５勝目。王ホークスは両リーグ一番乗りで３０勝目を挙げ、ガッチリ首位キープだ。
