日本ハム田中幸雄内野手（３９）が、通算２０００本安打を達成した。プロ野球史上３５人目。４回の第２打席、楽天山村の外角の直球を右前へはじき返した。７回には中前、８回にも左前安打と２年ぶりとなる猛打賞で、偉業達成に花を添えた。「やっと打つことができました。ファンの大きな声援をいただいて、きれいなヒットで飾ることができて。幸せな男です」と感無量の表情で感想を口にした。
