痛恨のエラーが敗因となった。大西のソロで同点に追いついた直後の６回２死一塁。辻の三ゴロを塩崎がお手玉して失策。先発セラフィニが続く山崎に左前への勝ち越し適時打を浴びた。この時、左翼ローズも本塁返球を焦ってボールをつかみ損ねる失策。一塁走者に三進を許して傷口を広げると、セラフィニは大村にもタイムリーを浴びた。コリンズ監督は「エラーだけでなく、打てなかったこととかいろんな要因がある」と厳しい表情で話したが、２度目の同一カード３連敗で今季最多の借金５。５位に転落した。
