ビッグプレーで阪神が今季初となる同一カード３連勝をつかみとった。５回表２死一、二塁のピンチ。鳥谷がヤクルト福川のセンター前へ抜けそうなあたりを横っ飛び、二塁ベースの左後方に伸ばした左手でもぎ取った。ベースカバーの関本に渡してチェンジ。超がいくつついても足りないファインプレーで救った。「グラブの先、ギリギリで引っかかってくれたという感じ」。
