巨人に「ミスター０」が誕生した。高橋尚成投手（３２）が１５日のヤクルト３回戦（東京ドーム）に先発し、２戦連続の完封で３勝目を挙げた。これで開幕から３度先発し、通算２５イニング無失点と「０行進」を更新。セ・リーグ記録の３１イニングに迫る勢いで、サンデー高橋尚がチームを勢いづけている。打線も３回に２ラン３本などで７点を奪い、ヤクルトのルーキー増渕に洗礼を浴びせ、９－０で快勝した。
