日本ハム・ヒルマン監督が、思わぬ幕切れに落胆した。４点リードを同点にされた直後の７回２死二塁の勝ち越しのチャンスで雨が激しくなり中断。雨脚が弱まらずに、そのまま降雨コールドで引き分けに終わった。流れは悪かったが再度、引き戻しかけていた矢先で、何とも後味が悪い結末になった。「もう１回やり直して勝つことができればいいと思う」とあきらめきれない様子だった。
