中日の育成選手・中村紀洋内野手（３３＝オリックス）の開幕スタメンが決定的となった。１７日、日本ハム戦（札幌）に５番三塁でフル出場。３打数無安打に終わったが、試合後に落合博満監督（５３）は「並び（打順）はまだ分からないけど、メンバー的にはこんなもんじゃないか」と発言。この日のメンバーが開幕スタメンであると認めた。支配下選手登録はまだだが、中村紀が開幕スタメンをほぼ手中にした。
