痛快な古巣ぎりだ。横浜寺原隼人投手（２３）がソフトバンク戦に先発し、３回を無安打、無失点で４奪三振と好投。出した走者はわずか１四球の１人で、先発ローテ入りへ大きく前進した。因縁対決は初回から実現した。２死走者なしで打者は多村。昨年１２月の交換トレードの相手だ。「意識しました」。カウント２－１から４球目、この日最速１５１キロを投げ込んでボールだったが、ドームに歓声が起こった。「追い込んだあとのボールにする球。思い切り腕を振ったら出ました」と最後は変化球で二直に抑えた。
