That video has highlights of many NPB players. It's hard for me to understand what player you're looking for with all of them. It might possibly help if you're a little more specific about what incident?

Gotta be talking about Keiichi Hirano. He's fine, but I hope he learned when to go all out and when to look out for his own safety. He's one of the few current Japanese players known for flying all around the field to get the ball. The others being Atsunori Inaba and Akinori Iwamura. All have spent their time on the DL.

He said at around 2:46 in the video. That was when Heiichi Hirano (the player in question) ran into the fense head first on May 6, 2007. That was the final out of the third inning (TBS boxscore), and Hirano was pinch hit for in the top of the fourth.
Hirano made his comeback on September 26 and 27, playing part time in center field on both occasions.
He is listed on the 2007 Buffaloes roster, so he's apparently made a full recovery.
