Getting Game Tapes

Discussion in the Ask the Commish forum
Getting Game Tapes
Does anyone know how to get game tapes of Japanese baseball? I have a lot of live game tapes of baseball and football from the '70s, '80s, and '90s. Now there must be some place that sells tapes of various games and the Japan Series.

Let me know.

Thanks.

This Google search (in Japanese) is a very good place to start looking for places that sell Pro Yakyu videos.

I've never bought videos on-line, so I can's say who's reputable. In general, though, .co.jp domains tend have kibishii checks on applications and are therefore most likely legitimate buisinesses. Of course, URLs that have "~"s in them don't necessarily have the same checks, so please be careful. (I know this is all common sense for Internet shopping, but...)

Hope this helps.

Going through old Shukan Baseball magizines I came across Vap who sells Pro Yakyu videos, including specials on Giants' players like "Hideki Matsui - Thanks for the Dreams and Deep Impressions" or "Hara Giants Nippon Ichi - Giants vs. Lions 2002." That last one is the whole 2002 Series in 45 minutes, most likely focusing on the Giants more than the Lions. Any reviews are welcome.
