Interesting interview in today's (Feb. 22) Seattle Times with Kenji Johjima, detailing his reasons for returning to Japan to play with Hanshin this year. Here's the link:

26 games into the season, how is Johjima doing back in NPB? His BA doesn't look all that great so far, but judging from his BB & K numbers, it looks like he's making plenty of contact, but just isn't having much luck with hittin' it where they ain't.

He started hot, but then got really cold, with his BA dropping below .230. He has been hot the last few games, however, especially hitting for power. Defensively, the starting pitching has been fairly solid this year, so hopefully he is contributing with his defense and leadership skills as well.
