I doubt that Miguel and Alex Cabrera are related. They don't look much alike.
However, Jolbert Cabrera of the Dodgers and Orlando Cabrera of the Expos are brothers, and they don't resemble each other much either.
Miguel is certainly smaller than Alex. Miguel is 6'2" and only weighs 185 lbs. Alex is about the same height, but a lot heavier.
From my count, there have been 7 different Cabreras to play in MLB.

Hi, I'm from Venezuela. There is no relation between Alex and Miguel. Alex is from the east side of the country and Miguel is from Maracay, a city close to Caracas, in the center of the country.

I noticed that Derrek Lee (1B) is the son of Leon Lee. Stupid Question: Is there any relationship between Miguel Cabrera (LF) and Alex Cabrera? Both are from Venezuela, but Cabrera is probably a relatively common name.
