This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.
It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.

The record for most games with a home run in a row is jointly held by Sadaharu Oh (the world-wide home run king) and Hanshin's Randy Bass, each hitting home runs in seven consecutive games. Sheldon is one shy of tying the Pacific League record of six games in a row shared by Kazuo Osugi (1973, Nittaku Flyers - now Nippon Ham Fighters), G. Altman (1974, Lotte Orions), Masahiro Doi (1978, Crown Lighter Lions - now Seibu Lions), D. Davis (1985, Kintetsu Buffaloes), Kazuhiko Ishimine (1987, Hankyu Braves), and Lee Stevens (1995, Kintetsu Buffaloes).
(Rob's Japanese Baseball Superstars came in handy to look up some of the old-timers' names. Thanks for the great reference book.)
