This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.
It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.

This evening (3/31), just minutes ago in the bottom of the 4th inning at Tokyo Dome, Kiyohara reached the legendary Nagashima's 444 with a huge home run to the top of the left field bleachers off of Hanshin's starter Moore for the first run of the game. 10th place Doi (465) and 9th place Tabata (474) are both well within reach this season. Even 8th place Ohsugi's 486 (nothing to do with Intel - computer nerd joke) isn't out of the question.
Regardless of how much you may dislike the Giants and/or the former Koshien star, nobody hits 444 career home runs as a fluke. Gambare Kiyohara on reaching ever higher records.
