1988 Olympic Baseball
I'm looking for help with the pitching line-ups for several Japanese games at the 1988 Olympic demonstration event. Official Report gives only batting statistics. Anyone who might be able to help please contact me at bmallon atMark nc d0t rr d0t com.

Thanks.

Finding detailed pre-WWW sports information is pretty tough. The best I've been able to find is the line scores for the 1988 Seoul Olympics here [SportsNavi/Yahoo! Japan]. It has a list of the Japanese pitchers who threw in each game and the Japanese who hit home runs. A full list of the Japanese members is here.

Wow, that was an impressive set of amateurs on that team.

Hope this helps.

With a trip to Yokohama Central Library and the help of SABR Tokyo member Takazawa-san I was able to come up with this list of pitchers.

Hope this proves useful.
