Tigers v Carp - Okay..... a tie.

Tigers v Carp - Okay..... a tie.
So far Mayumi Tigers are still finding their feet. Shima (Carp) once again played a big part in the result. Tigers started brightly, Ishikawa was pitching well and runners were getting on base with regularity. The third was where it happened, a Hirano two base hit and then Sekimoto to drive the run home. More runs came in the fifth with Toritani hitting a two run double and Tigers were three up.

Ishikawa blew it the very next innings though. He set up runners on first and second and then allowed Shima to hit a home run 3-3. As I said Shima played a big part. That was it for the scoring, the relief of both sides was secure and kept runners from reaching home plate. Mench, once again was anonymous but Sakurai pressed his case for starting at right field with another hit.
About

This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.

It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.
