This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.
It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.

Soka would open the scoring in the first through no help of their own. Meiden's SP Takasu-kun had control issues from the get go, walking leadoff man Nakayasu-kun and Miyanaga-kun. Nagai-kun tried to follow with a bunt-and-run, but instead popped out and Nakayasu was doubled off at 2nd. Cleanup hitter Ohshima-kun would ground a ball, but SS Furuyasu would misplay it allowing Ohshima to reach. Takasu-kun would walk the next two batters (Nishimura-kun and Baba-kun), the second of which forced in a run, and then gave up a single to LF.
Meiden's manager had seen enough, but by then it was too late. With Soka up 3-0, Meiden's players continually looked like they were pressing hard to get base hits throughout the game. On the other side, Soka never really put together any more chances throughout the game, suggesting that if not for the first inning, Meiden probably would have won the game. But as it is, Aikodai Meiden once again exits in its first game.
