This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.
It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.

Game 1 - Teikyo Koukou 7-1 Komadai Iwamizawa
Ohda-kun, the K sensation during the Spring Koshien that flamed out as the tournament progressed, was relegated to the #10 position. And in fact, after just 4 batters that hit single to LCF, Sac Bunt, double to RCF, and single up the middle, he was pulled for ace Kakigahara-kun. And really, after that Iwamizawa had no tangible opportunities. It became a "when will Teikyo open the flood gates" game. And in the 4th inning Teikyo would bat around, scoring 5, capped by Kamata-kun's double to RF.
Game 2 - Kamimura Gakuen 6-3 Konkou Osaka
The game started with both teams scuffling at the plate. Kamimura would have the first shot at scoring. With one out and runners at first and second, Azuma-kun lines a ball to right field. Lead runner Wakamatsu tries to score, but is gunned down at home.
Konkou would get their chance in the bottom of the 4th. With one out, CF Yoshimi-kun lines one down the left field line for a double. Cleanup hitter Mouri-kun would be hit on a full count. Komatsu-kun would follow with a hit to RF scoring Yoshimi, and RF Saitoh-kun with a sac fly to center makes it 2-0 Konkou.
In the 5th Konkou would play add on. Leadoff man Tanida-kun would draw a walk and would later score on a two out base hit by Furusoh-kun making it a 3-0 game.
It would all fall apart for Konkou soon after. Top of the 6th, 2 out, with runners at 2nd and 3rd for Kamimura, #5 batter Nishi-kun grounds a ball to the SS. But he mishandles the hop and boots the ball, letting one run in and runners on 1st and 3rd. Kohara-kun would follow up the error with a single to left, but it was ace Mori-kun with a bases clearing triple to deep RCF that would cap the 4-run inning. Konkou would never recover.
Game 3 - Koufu Shougyou 14-1 Sakai Koukou
Sadly, this was a case of a rural team getting blown out. Sakai's pitchers were just overwhelmed as their under-handers were just too slow to fool any of Koufu's batters.
Only real note was that Koufu's leadoff batter, Watanabe-kun hit a solo HR to left.
Game 4 - Niigata Meikun 1-0 Hanamaki Higashi
Too late to watch.
