Nakata Throws 5-Inning Perfect Game
By now you all know about Sho Nakata's power and his 87 home runs, so he needed to come up with a new way to impress you.

Yesterday he took the mound, and throwing a 140-kph (87.5 mph) fastball he struck out 12 batters over 5 innings. His team, Osaka Toin, was leading 10-0 over Katano at that juncture, and the game was called due to the mercy rule.

While he hasn't homered yet in 11 ABs, he now has a quasi-perfect game under his belt.
About

This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.

It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.
