Skrmetta will be wearing #62, if anyone's interested.

Anyone know how he is doing so far? Or when he's expected to join the top team?

According to the Rakuten Eagles player page, Skrmetta is listed on the top team. [Link - in Japanese]

[From Editor: Actually, looking at the ichi-gun/ni-gun rosters, he's currently at ni-gun (the farm team) as of March 26, 2005.]

My mistake. Navigating websites is sometimes difficult to understand without knowledge of Japanese, and while you're just looking at URL's. So like it says, Skremtta is currently at ni-gun.

Yes he is definitely on the minor league team currently. He tried out during spring training, so this is no real surprise.

Have you seen any news articles discussing his progress since his surgery and since signing this year?
