Rakuten seating

Discussion in the NPB News forum
Rakuten seating
While looking at the Golden Eagles' web site, I noticed the Eagles' dugout will be located on the third base side, which as far as I know, is a first in Japan. From all the countless games I've seen in Japan, the home team was on the third base side once - when the Fukuoka Daiei Hawks were visitors in the Fukuoka Dome. It appears Rakuten is trying to distinguish themselves from the other teams.

I do know in the U.S., several MLB teams' home team sits on the third base side, like the Cubs.
About

This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.

It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.
