Yokohama Acquires Two New Foreigners
According to the Nikkan Sports News web site [Link - in Japanese], the Yokohama BayStars have acquired infielder Kevin Witt who last played at the Major League level with Detroit in 2003, and pitcher Mark Kroon from the Colorado Rockies.

Here are Kevin Witts' stats according to Baseball Reference: [Link]

and here's Mark Kroons': [Link]

Kroon is said to have a 150+ kph fastball, and is expected to fill in relief.

Apparently both were signed to a one year contract worth $400K, or 42 million yen.

Kroon's fastball can get up to 156. Witt has a chance to be very good if he can adjust.

I hope that Witt will do good. Maybe he will hit a lot of home runs, but who knows. Who should bat in the 4th spot? My money is on Tamura.
