2004 Data and Awards, 2005 Japanese Free Agents Articles
The 2004 NPB stats have been posted on baseballguru.com after our webmaster here, Michael Westbay, was kind enough to let us share his work. I've also posted the remaining awards (Rookie of the Year and Gold Gloves). All these items can be linked to from this page: [Link].

The article on free agents from NPB for 2005 is also posted, and the new twist I've added is a section called "Players to Watch." Those players who are under 30 at the beginning of the 2005 season (defined as April 1, 2005 - no joke intended, for those familiar with the concept of "April Fool's Day") and have met one of two other standards which confirm their ability and indicate they are close enough to the time they might go to the majors to pay attention to them. If there are postings, I will update the article, but I'm not going to put players in the article on speculation - it's just too much for me to handle.

The article can be found at here.

About

This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.

It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.
