Rakuten's New GM: Marty Kuehnert
Is it true that Rakuten, one of the 2 companies competing for the new Pacific League team, is considering to make Marty Kuehnert their GM? That would be great to have a "gaikokujin" as a GM.

Yes, it's true. Should Rakuten get the selection, Marty will be their GM. He said that he's wanted such a position for quite a while.
I hope he does better managing a team than he does at writing about baseball. His columns where he just talks about who he had lunch with (some former suketto) or sat next to on airplanes (what does Furuta speaking better English than your Japanese have to do with the strike?) really haven't impressed me.

This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world.
