This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.
It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.

Translation/Summary:
Having come of age (20 years old), Yu Darvish (Hokkaido Nippon Ham Fighters) must decide which of his duel citizenship to take on, Japanese or Iranian, this year. He's already put through the paperwork for declaring Japanese citizenship, but would like to retain Romaji as the writing system for his name in his profession. As Shinjo did last year, the young Nippon Ham ace wishes to have his name registered as "DARVISH" rather than the current "ダルビッシュ有" for the 2007 season.
