The first three are capacity crowds.
The last time all six games' attendance surpassed 25-man fans was Golden Week of 1997 (May 4 to be exact) when they had 264,000 (26.4-man) through the gates.
More Japanese are staying home this Golden Week, partially due to the economy, partially due to how the holidays fall on the weekend, and if you follow the news, partially due to the SARS scare of travelling overseas. While many fans, according to recent polls in Shukan Baseball, shy away from the stadium due to high prices, a family outing at the ball park doesn't appear to have any problem competing with other holiday destinations.
This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.
It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.
