Hiroshima's Nomura to Retire this Season
Hiroshima Carp player Kenjiro Nomura announced he will be retiring after this season. Earlier this season, Nomura became the 33rd player in NPB, and the 3rd Carp player, to collect 2,000 hits. Nomura won the stolen base title in 1990, 1991, and 1994, he was in the Best 9 three times, and won a Gold Glove award.

Farewell, Kenjiro, in the rather unlikely event you might in some fashion receive this!

You have been a great player to watch, and had some great moments since I've been watching. Enjoy life off the field.
