A day with the Giants

As part of the commemeration of 3/11 Tigers took on the Giants. Gonzalez started for the Tokyo outfit and Messenger for Tigers. All went well until the third when Takahashi and pachimon Yano had consecutive hits. They were bunted to second and third and then Terauchi supplied the timely hit. Tigers hit back in the fourth with a timely hit from Brazell (batting fourth and playing left) but things looked ominous for the Tigers until the ninth. Inbetween then we had some really stupid bunts (some things never change). Anyway Komiyama led the innings off with a hit. He made second on an error and was pinch run for by Tagami. Tagami was bunted to third and then Uemoto attempted a squeeze. This went to the pitcher who messed it up and Tagami was home 2-2. This was the way the score stayed and Tigers had escaped by the skin of their teeth.
