Kubo started for Tigers and was followed by Kubota and Iwata. They shut Lions out returning the complement of a couple of days ago. Tigers scored the only run of the game in the first innings - Shunsuke led off with a hit and stole second. Toritani drove him in 1-0 Tigers and that was the final score. Lions had six hits and Tigers eight. Nakajima did threaten in the Lions ninth with a lead off three base but smart pitching and fieldiing saw that the lead was preserved.
