A match against Seibu Lions

After Saturday's match was rained out, Lions and Tigers played a tight game on Sunday. This went Lions way as they managed to string together 2 hits to score the one run needed for victory (1-0 to Lions). Tigers out hit the Lions but needed to make more of their hits especially as they wasted two 2-base hits. Andoh started and pitched well, the single run coming from Nohmi's first innings. What was encouraging was the use of Kubota as closer - let's hope this signals the death of the idea of using him as a starter.

I'm trying to get the box scores for the Tigers' games. How do I get them? What's the best English web site to get stats and box scores during the season? Still waiting for the preview of the team. Are they contenders or pretenders?

The preview will be written shortly so a little bit more patience is necessary. If you are following the instructions I gave in my earlier post you should be able to access the box scores in Japanese (Tigers second open sen game). Currently the Seibu game is still visible but will disappear shortly. Unfortunately, I do not think there are any for the Open Sen in English. You will be able to access full season English language results on the NPB website when the season starts.
