D-Mat Owns New English

D-Mat Owns New English
The other day, when the BoSox had a news conference with D-Mat, it was cold outside and it was supper time. New England Cable Network carried the conference. Everything stopped, there were a lot of late suppers, kids watched NECN instead of MTV.

Today at American Legion the Boston 'B' hats are already on the heads. Some are saying he'll go 15-5 - and beat the Yankees 3 times without any defeats. The Red Sox said they have sold 150,000 more tickets right now than SPLY. Number 18 is a hot uniform number.

Yankee fans in the Legion are kidding about the ethnic background of D-Mat. The response is, "We don't care if they sign the devil as long as we beat you." One guy was upset that Capt. Varitak had D-Mat carry his gear, he wonder if D-Mat pulled an arm or strained a shoulder that it wouldn't be so funny. It's all about D-Mat. Manny R. may be late for spring training because of mother is sick. One legion member remarked that there were so many sports writers' reporters/TV crews from the USA and Japan, if the Red Sox charged a $1 each it would have made a generous donation to the Jimmy Fund - which already in the raffle has D-Mat baseball jerseys.

Go Red Sox.

This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.

It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.
