Discussion in the Ask the Commish forum
Jason Johnson?
Any word or stats on Jason Johnson who was signed by Seibu Lions back in March? I am his former high school coach trying to get some info on him. Thanks.

JJ has been out of action since April. He was last seen somewhere in Florida rehabilitating.

The last update in Johnson's blog was dated April 2. It would be nice if he were to update that to let us know what's going on with his rehab.

SpoNichi is reporting that Johnson's return to Japan has been extended to be some time after May 25th. He was scheduled to return to Japan today (May 24th).

Just from reading his blog at the beginning of the season, I didn't think that he would last very long here in Japan. I wonder if his rehabilitation is being slowed down due to something physical or mental.

If you find out he has returned and is back with the team, let me know. Curious as to how he is doing.

If you're monitoring the Pro Yakyu News forum, you'll find that JJ has posted to his blog that he's back in Japan.

According to Johnson himself, he'll be having a couple of starts at ni-gun (the farm team) to get re-acclimatized, during which time he can re-learn the train system.
