Nolan Ryan to be Ham Temporary Coach?
The Hokkaido Nippon Ham Fighters' Fujii-club president is currently in the U.S. attending the baseball Winter Meetings. He was reportedly in Roundrock, Texas this past December talking with the career 5,714 K, 7 no-hitter Nolan Ryan at the Astros' AAA facilities. Fujii-san is reportedly discussing the possibility that Ryan be a temporary coach for the Fighters this Spring to pass on his wisdom to Darvish, Yagi, and others of the young Fighters' pitching staff (who led all 12 teams last season with a 3.05 ERA).

About

This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.

It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.
