Teams Down 0-3 in the Series?
My dad told me that a team in Japan once won the Nippon Series after being down 0-3? Is this true, and can someone give some info on it?

It happened in 1958, with Kazuhisa Inao winning all four games (he lost games 1 & 3 as well) for the Lions over the Giants. It happened again in 1986, when the Lions rallied from an 0-3-1 deficit (game 1 was a 14 inning 2-2 tie) against the Carp. And finally in 1989 when the Giants did it against the Buffaloes.

This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.

It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.
