Okajima Notches 4th Save as Red Sox Win 5th Straight
Former Hokkaido Nippon Ham Fighters and Yomiuri Giants reliever Hideki Okajima recorded his 4th save in as many opportunities in a 4-2 Red Sox win over the Cleveland Indians tonight at Fenway Park.

Okajima and his cult-status "oki-dokey" split-change struck out Victor Martinez and Trot Nixon to end the game and save the victory for 8-0 Josh Beckett, who becomes the first Red Sox pitcher to win his first 8 decisions since "El Guapo" Rich Garces in 2000.

He is great! New saying in New England is "There's no bouquets with OK."
About

This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.

It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.
