The odd thing about this is that, way back on March 1, 2006, it was reported by Met fans he hurt his left leg. However, he did continue to play in some games. Met fans were thinking out loud when they guessed he was serously hurt and not playing. Why did the Mets wait so long to put him on the Disabled List? Was Kaz playing hurt and it got more serious?

It's really fishy when writers and talk radio report that Kaz would not be the season opening second baseman a week ago. Did they know this all along?

I think you were the fan talking about this Joe and cited a bogus report. If it were true he got hurt on March 1st, it debunks the Joel Sherman report that faceless team insiders think Kaz cannot play through injury and difficulties.

Hopefully Matsui will break out this year after his 3 weeks of injury is over. And Mets fans can witness the real Kazuo Matsui of the Seibu Lions.

I saw the Mets win the pennant in '69, so anything is possible. Just like your handle.

He was eligible to come off April 8th, it was announced Matsui would be out 3 weeks. So it could be another week or so before Kaz comes back.

Kaz has played in two extended spring training games, right now the Mets aren't saying when he'll return.

With Kaz not doing much in Florida, Hernandez's bat starting to come alive and some very solid D, Kaz may be in Florida for awhile longer. He needs to start hitting. He needs to fight to get his job back.

Hernandez has a herniated disk. Kaz was pulled from today's AAA game and is reportedly called up to the Mets. Look for him to start tomorrow. Gambatte!
