Skymark Stadium Status?

Discussion in the Ask the Commish forum
Skymark Stadium Status?
Anyone know the status of Skymark is for next year? I had heard that it will be used less or not at all with the purchase of the Kyocera Dome. It's one of my favorite stadiums in Japan, so I'm hoping this isn't the case.

I fear that it is to be used less. Here is the Skymark schedule for 2007 from the Official NPB site:

03-29: vs. Fighters
04-08: vs. Lions
04-15: vs. Hawks
04-24: vs. Eagles
04-29: vs. Hawks
04-30: vs. Hawks
05-10: vs. Marines
05-11: vs. Marines
05-26: vs. Tigers
06-02: vs. BayStars
06-03: vs. BayStars
06-04: vs. BayStars (scheduled makeup)
06-14: vs. Giants
06-15: vs. Giants (scheduled makeup)
07-26: vs. Fighters
07-27: vs. Eagles
07-28: vs. Eagles
07-29: vs. Eagles
08-07: vs. Marines
08-08: vs. Marines
08-09: vs. Marines (scheduled makeup)
08-10: vs. Hawks
08-28: vs. Hawks
08-29: vs. Hawks
08-30: vs. Hawks (scheduled makeup)
09-06: vs. Fighters (scheduled makeup)
09-27: vs. Eagles
09-28: vs. Eagles (scheduled makeup)

That comes to 22 regular scheduled games with 6 of them possibly being made up at Skymark if they're rained out. Orix played 34 games as Skymark last season (see this related thread), so it's a significant drop.

Sorry, but it's not good news for fans of Green Stadium Kobe (aka Skymark Stadium).

Thanks for the info. Glad to at least see that it's at least being used. And glad to see a Tigers game on the schedule. Although I go as a Tigers fan, always sad to see about 30,000 balloons for the Tigers and then about 30 for the Buffaloes, even though the Buffs are the "home" team. Anyway, hope it isn't used less and less in the future, although this could be the case.
