Lotte Ties PL Record for Consecutive Innings With a Hit
The Chiba Lotte Marines have tied a Pacific League record for 21 consecutive innings with at least one hit, to become just the third team in Pacific League history to do so. The streak started on May 27 against the Tokyo Giants from the 10th inning, and continued through the 3rd inning of the May 30th game against the Tokyo Yakult Swallows.

The 21 consecutive innings with at least one hit was also accomplished by the 1952 Nankai Hawks, and the 2003 Daiei Hawks. (If you are wondering, the NPB record for consecutive innings with a hit by a team is 23 innings, set by the Yakult Swallows in 2005.)

About

This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.

It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.
