1950's Flags/Pennants?

Discussion in the Pro Yakyu History forum
1950's Flags/Pennants?
I saw these in a local antique shop and have been trying to figure out what they are for weeks now with no results. I'm hoping someone here might be able to tell me something about them. I have been able to date them to the 1950s based on teams that merged or changed their name. They are made of silk with "leather like" corners. They also all have the same logo in the bottom right corner which someone told me was a logo used by a department store in Japan.

Any help or information would be greatly appreciated.

From left to right on the first photo:
  • Kokutetsu Swallows
  • Hiroshima Carp
  • Shochiku Robins
  • Taiei Stars
  • Nankai Hawks
  • Taiyo Whales (aka Maruha)
  • Kintetsu Pearls
  • Tokyu Flyers (?)
  • Nishitetsu Lions
  • Yomiuri Giants
  • Mainichi Orions
  • Hankyu Braves
  • Osaka Tigers
The above accounts for all of the 1951-'52 teams except for the Nagoya Dragons.

The 高 with a circle around it is from the Takashimaya department store.
