Big Matsui's chances of coming over

Discussion in the Ask the Commish forum
Big Matsui's chances of coming over
Has Hideki Matsui expressed interest personally in playing in the majors? Is he a free agent after next season? What chances would you put on him coming over?
Anyway the Giants post him for big $$ rather than lose him outright?

Why the sudden flood of "Guests" asking about Matsui? Is he being featured in the U.S. press lately?

I just answered this question yesterday right here. I and others have also responded to this question a number of times on the Pro Yakyu mailing list.

When you want Matsui's lifetime stats, here they are.

I'm glad to see so much interest in Japanese baseball by people who, up until now, have not paid it any mind. And I respect anyone's desire to post annonymously (even if Sen. Judd Gregg doesn't). But please read some of the other posts to see if your question has been answered before - like yesterday.
About

This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.

It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.
