Who holds the most consecutive game hit record?

I believe Yoshi Takahashi set the mark with a 33 game streak for the Carp in 1979.

Thanks for the in-depth information about consecutive game hit records. And it's interesting that there hasn't been any sigificant consecutive game hit record this decade.
