Mariners Call Up Choo

Mariners Call Up Choo
The Seattle Mariners re-called outfielder Shin-Soo Choo, to replace outfielder Jeremy Reed who recently went on the 15-day DL.

Choo was batting .327 with 11 HRs and 42 RBI in AAA Tacoma, and was selected to the AAA All Star Game, but will skip that now that he's with Seattle. Though, Choo was battin .452 in his last 24 games before being re-called. Mariners manager Mike Hargrove says Choo will platoon in center field with Willie Bloomquist, though Choo will get the majority of time since he's left handed and will be facing right handed pitching.

About

This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.

It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.
